British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM at Goldsmith University of London

The Goldsmith University of London with support from the British Council is offering fully-funded British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM enrolled in eligible courses in the University for the 2022/23 academic year.

Are you a woman with a degree in a STEM subject and passionate about your study? You could receive a scholarship to study for a master’s degree, or an early academic fellowship, in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics programme at a leading UK university.

The scholarships have been created with the aim to help address the under-representation of women in STEM. Applicants will be required to demonstrate how studying in one of the selected programs will support their future career advancement and/or capacity-building and socio-economic advancement of their country.

In partnership with the British Council, Teesside University is delighted to be offering five fully-funded scholarships to women from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam beginning a 1-year master’s programme in September 2022 in one of the following subjects:

  • Advanced Biomedical Science
  • Microbiology
  • Applied Artificial Intelligence
  • Applied Data Science
  • Master of Public Health

British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM 2022/23 | ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for the British Council Scholarships 2022-2023 for Women in STEM at Goldsmith University, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

  1. Are able to take up a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October 2022 – 2023
  2. Can demonstrate a need for financial support
  3. Have an undergraduate degree that will enable them to gain access to one of the pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university
  4. Can attain the level of English required for postgraduate study/research at a UK university
  5. Are active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in their subject area
  6. Are passionate about their course of study and are willing to engage as committed British Council scholarship alumni

2022 British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM Benefits

  1. Will cover full tuition fees, monthly stipends.
  2. The scholarships, worth £35,000 each.
  3. A return economy class ticket and other study-related costs such as IELTS exam fee.
  4. Visa application and NHS surcharge.

Application Procedures
