International Development Scholarships of £2,500 are available for students from the following regions, for undergraduate and postgraduate courses that we are going to list below. Here also, we shall be showing you how to apply for the Chancellors International Development Scholarships.
This scholarship replaces the standard undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships. Higher National Diploma students and Foundation Degree students are not eligible for the Chancellor’s International Development Scholarship.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be classified as overseas for fee purposes.
- have accepted a place on a full-time eligible Masters, commencing at the University of Sussex in September 2019.
- have excellent grades (UK first class or equivalent)
- have clear and specific goals with defined links to your course.
As there are limited scholarships available, this scholarship is extremely competitive.

How to Apply for Chancellors International Development Scholarships – University of Sussex
To be considered for the Chancellors International Scholarship, you need to have received and accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters at Sussex.
To apply for the scholarship <CLICK HERE>, you are required to provide a statement of academic interests. You should include information about:
- Your drive and ambitions
- Your potential for positive impact when you return to your home country
- Any relevant work experience, skills, or extra-curricular activity that relate to your ambitions and/or chosen course
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate excellent grades in your most recent qualification (i.e. a first-class degree if you are studying in the UK). You do not need to have completed your qualification, however, as we can make conditional scholarship offers.

UWE Chancellor’s Scholarships for International Students
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £100,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship wherein the recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments. The recipient will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

UWE Bristol Chancellor’s Scholarship 2021 for International Eligibility
- Have achieved the equivalent of a British first in an undergraduate degree
- Hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
- Be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study
- Be classed as overseas for fees purposes
- Not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
- Provide official transcripts at the time of application
