The Eiffel Scholarship in France for International Students Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program gives opportunity to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at a master’s level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.
Eiffel Scholarship in France for International Students 2023 Brief Description
- Host Institution(s): French Universities and Academic Institutions
- Level of Study: Master’s degree program, engineering program, or a joint doctoral program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree), in partnership with a partner institution abroad.
- Field(s) of study: Two major disciplinary fields concerned by the Eiffel scholarships cover the following 7 fields of study for the Master and Doctorate components:
- For science and technology: Biology and health; Ecological transition; Mathematics and digital; Engineering Sciences
- For the humanities and social sciences: History, French language and civilization; Law and political science; and Economics and management
- Target group: International students
Eiffel Scholarships 2023-2024 Value/inclusions/duration:
For Master’s level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,181 and can be awarded for 12-36 months. For PhD level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,700 and is awarded for a maximum of 12 months.
In addition, the programme meets various expenses including international transportation, national transportation, health insurance, housing searches, and cultural activities.
Tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel Programme.

How to Apply for Eiffel Scholarship
Applications are NOT accepted from students directly. Applications for EIFFEL scholarships are submitted by French Higher Education Institutions.
Therefore, you must apply and meet the requirements of the French Higher Education Institution in order to be considered for the scholarship. Applications sent directly by students or sent by foreign institutions will be declared ineligible. The application deadline for participating French Institutions is earlier and falls around November-December 2022.
The deadline for applications to Campus France is 10 January 2023.
