International Onshore Merit Scholarship at University of Queensland in Australia

Application for the International Onshore Merit Scholarship 2022 is ongoing. The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support citizens of The United States of America who are enrolled in an Approved Program administered by the Schools of Business, Economics, or Law at The University of Queensland.

The University of Queensland is providing the Onshore Merit Scholarship award amount of a minimum of a $5000 tuition fee reduction per semester for the first two semesters (A$10,000 in total) to highly motivated students.

The University of Queensland merit scholarship is available for high achieving students who have completed their most recent qualification in Australia and are commencing a relevant degree program at The University of Queensland in Semester 1 or 2, 2022. With this scholarship, you will receive a A$5,000 tuition fee reduction per semester for the first two semesters.

International Onshore Merit Scholarship Eligibility

An applicant is eligible for the award of a scholarship if the applicant:

  • Is an international student (a student who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian Permanent Resident);
  • Has completed their most recent qualification in Australia;
  • Has applied to undertake studies at UQ on a full-time basis in a relevant program commencing Semester 1 or 2, 2022, and has received an offer;
  • Will enroll full time;
  • Has satisfied the program entry and English language proficiency requirements;
  • Has not received another scholarship from UQ;
  • Has not received a full scholarship/sponsorship from another organization (applicants with partial scholarships/sponsorships will be considered at the University’s discretion);
  • Has achieved a competitive score as determined by the University when ranked among the pool of offer holders for programs in their commencement semester.

International Onshore Merit Scholarship Value and Duration

  1. The value of the Scholarship is a one-off tuition fee reduction of A$10,000.
  2. The reduction will be split into two A$5000 amounts and applied after enrolment and prior to the tuition fees due date for the first two semesters of the program.

How to Apply for International Onshore Merit Scholarship 2022

  1. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will automatically be considered.
  2. Awarding of this scholarship is competitive and merit-based.
  3. Students with conditional offers must satisfy all stipulated conditions for this scholarship to take effect.
  4. Students offered the scholarship will be notified by email and will have until the deadline specified in the email to accept.
  5. Students who do not accept by the due date will not be considered for future scholarship offer rounds.
  6. The A$10,000 tuition fee reduction will be split into two A$5,000 amounts and applied across the first two semesters of the program.
