James Madison Graduate Fellowships 2024 Details
The scholarship can be applied to any US-accredited institution based in the United States. All fellowship recipients will also partake in a summer institute on the Constitution, a trademark portion of the fellowship programme.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for James Madison Graduate Fellowships, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- The award is available for both domestic and international students.
- Applicants must participate in full-time study at US accredited institution based in the United States.
- The award is available for graduate courses offered in the University.
- An outstanding academic record.
- Proven English proficiency.
Types of James Madison Fellowships:
The Foundation offers two types of fellowships:
- Junior Fellowships are awarded to outstanding college seniors and college graduates without teaching experience who intend to become secondary school teachers of American history, American government, or civics in grades 7-12. Junior Fellows are expected to complete graduate study within two academic years of full-time study.
- Senior Fellowships are awarded to outstanding current teachers who are required to complete graduate study within 5 calendar years of part-time study.
James Madison Memorial Fellowship Program Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: As part of the application process, interested students are required to get enrolled in a graduate program at any US accredited institution based in the United States, and thereafter can proceed to submit an online application for the fellowship. Application begins September 17.
Application Deadline:
Applications for 2024 Fellowships will open on Constitution Day, September 17, 2023. The deadline to submit the 2024 application is March 1, 2024.
