NDSU Undergraduate Scholarships: In addition to other forms of financial aid, each year NDSU awards nearly $3.5 million in scholarships to new first-year students. In fact, nearly half of this year’s first-year students received an award.

2021 North Dakota State University Scholarship Opportunities
NDSU is unique as a student-concentrated, land-grant, research university. In addition, it trains leaders who solve national and international challenges and its graduates build a better world.
New first-year and transfer undergraduate foreign candidates are qualified for scholarship award consideration on the basis of the following conditions. To be given consideration for NDSU Undergraduate Scholarships, candidates have to meet all conditions for full or conditional admission; an award is obtainable for at most of eight semesters. Awards are granted based on an assessment of academic records at the period of admission to NDSU by computing the U.S. cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent of the candidate.

The North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, more generally referred to as North Dakota State University (NDSU), is a state-owned land-grant research institution in Fargo, North Dakota. It was established as North Dakota Agricultural College in 1890 as the North Dakota’s land-grant university.
NDSU is categorized among “R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity”. As of 2021, NDSU provides 94 undergraduate majors, 5 undergraduate certificate programs, 146 undergraduate degree programs, 87 master’s degree programs, 84 undergraduate minors, 21 graduate certificate programs, and52 doctoral degree programs of study.
NDSU is a member of the North Dakota University System. It is one of the biggest universities in North Dakota state. The university also runs North Dakota’s agricultural research extension hubs located across the state on 18,488 acres (75 km2). In 2015, NDSU’s economic influence on the state and region was approximated to be $1.3 billion a year based on the NDUS Systemwide Economic Study by the School of Economics at North Dakota State University. In 2016, it was also the fifth-largest employer of labour in North Dakota state.
Worth of NDSU Undergraduate Scholarships 2021-2022
The award for the NDSU Undergraduate Scholarship is worth the following:
- 3.5 – 4.0 U.S. GPA equivalent: $12,000 ($1,500 each semester)
- 3.0 – 3.49 U.S. GPA equivalent: $8,000 ($1,000 each semester)
Eligibility for North Dakota State University Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the evaluation of academic records at the period of admission to NDSU.
This is carried out by computing the U.S. cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent of the candidate.

When handing in your applications for the NDSU Undergraduate Scholarships, make use of the keyword search:

Amount: $20,000 over four years ($5,000/year for a maximum of 4 years)
Criteria: Awarded to National Merit Semi-Finalists who reach Finalist status and notify National Merit Scholarship Corporation of NDSU as their final choice
Deadline: Must be admitted to NDSU by February 1, 2022
Harry D. McGovern STEM Scholarship
Amount: Up to full-time undergraduate base tuition
Criteria: Awarded to high achieving students with declared STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) – related field
Deadline: Must be admitted and submit online scholarship application by February 1, 2022

Mildred Larson Business Presidential Scholarship
Amount: $6,000 ($1,500/year for maximum of 4 years)
Criteria: Awarded to high academic achieving entering freshmen with a declared major in the College of Business
Deadline: Must be admitted and submit an online scholarship application by February 1, 2022
NDSU Honor Award
Amount: Up to half of the in-state tuition (maybe renewable)
Criteria: Awarded to high academic achieving students who are North Dakota residents with a declared major in the colleges of: College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources; Business; Engineering; Health Professions; or Science and Mathematics
Deadline: Must be admitted and submit an online scholarship application by February 1, 2022
Doosan/Bobcat Award
Amount: $8,000 ($2,000/year for maximum of 4 years)
Criteria: Awarded to high academic achieving students entering freshman year with a declared major in specific engineering, math, and science majors
Deadline: Must be admitted and submit an online scholarship application by February 1, 2022
