The Stratford First Scholarship 2021 Application

The Stratford First Scholarship is designed for eligible high school seniors who are new to Stratford University and enroll at Stratford University during the summer and fall terms following their high school graduation.

Scholarship Amount:

Up to five recipients are selected at each campus each year to receive $10,000 to be applied toward tuition and fees. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Stratford scholarship, grant, or discount.

The Stratford First Scholarship application Deadline: 11.59 pm May 1st

Stratford First Scholarship Application Eligibility

The Stratford First Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating High School Seniors pursuing post-secondary education for the first time. In order to qualify, applicants must meet the following:

  • The Stradford university first scholarship application must be completed and submitted by 11:59 p.m., May 1st of the calendar year.
  • An application must be accompanied by at least a 500-word essay explaining the student’s choice of study and how it will benefit their community. Please include current extracurricular activities and community services.
  • Applicant must have graduated from high school with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 as evidenced on their official high school transcript’
  • Applicant must have a letter of recommendation from a counselor or teacher.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent resident.
  • Applicant must enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program at Stratford University.
  • Students will have up to one (1) year after approval to use the scholarship.
  • Enrollment status must be full-time (3 classes per quarter).

Stratford University Extra Rewards Program 2021-2022

The Stratford Extra rewards are open to any new, current, reentry, or readmit student to Stratford University. The Stratford Extra Rewards program allows an undergraduate student to earn tuition credit for each class completed at Stratford University towards an applicable degree program.

Stratford Extra Reward Amount:

$166.50 in reward credit earned for each class completed at Stratford University at the undergraduate level subject to program terms and conditions. AAS students can earn up to $3,330.00 and Bachelor students can earn up to $6,660.00 in credits.

Credits are payable only at graduation and provided the student participates in the Smart Borrowing program, remains enrolled for the duration of the program, and complies with other program terms and conditions. This program cannot be combined with any other Stratford scholarship, grant, or discount.

Stratford Extra Rewards Application Deadline:

The application must be submitted prior to the first day of classes for the first term in which the applicant wants to participate in the rewards program.

Stratford Culinary Competition Scholarships

Offered to winning team members who placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the Pro Start, CCAP, or Skills USA competitions in Virginia or Maryland.

Stratford Culinary Competition Scholarships Value

  • A. Culinary: 1st place $15,000; 2nd place $10,000; 3rd place $5,000.
  • Hospitality: 1st place $10,000; 2nd place $5,000; 3rd place $2,500.

Applications accepted year-round.
Scholarships must be used within one year.

Eligibility Requirements to Compete for Stratford Culinary Competition Scholarships

To remain eligible, students must be enrolled in an eligible hospitality program in the School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts at Stratford University. Except with the approval of the campus director or designee, students receiving this award are required to enroll in a minimum of two (2) classes each quarter.
