If you have applied for a course at the Swedish Defence University, which requires the payment of fees, then you have to fill out the Swedish Defence University UHR Scholarship application form and see if you will be among the lucky people who will be granted a scholarship award for this year’s academic calendar.
The UHR Scholarship is available for the entire Bachelor’s, Master’s and International Students in all subjects; they will have the opportunity to be part of the Swedish Defence University for the academic year 2021/2022.
The UHR Scholarship at Swedish Defence University
The UHR scholarship is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). The Swedish Defence University UHR scholarship application and selection process amongst admitted students to the Swedish Defence University is handled by the university.
The UHR scholarship may only be used to pay all or part of the tuition fees and may not be used for accommodation or other suchlike costs.
Who Can Apply for UHR scholarship?
The UHR scholarship programme is aimed at well-qualified students from countries, other than EU/EEA countries and Switzerland (in accordance with Regulation 2010:543), who wish to study at Swedish universities or colleges.

Please note that only applicants in the current application round can apply for the UHR scholarship at Swedish Defence University since the scholarship is aimed at newly admitted students.

Both nationally and internationally, students will be able to participate in the development and management of emergency and security issues. Graduates who achieve excellence receive the Bachelor of Military Science degree.
Swedish Defence University Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
- This grant is for skilled students from outside the EU/EEA countries and Switzerland, who are interested in studying at Swedish universities or colleges;
- Only students in the present application cycle may submit an offer of a scholarship, as this award is intended for first-time students.
How to Apply for Swedish Defence University UHR Scholarship
Please fill in the application form. No supporting documents are needed since they are all available for your admission evaluation through www.universityadmissions.se.
Application period
Submit your application no later than 1 February 2022 if you participate in the international round 16 October 2021 – 15 January 2022.
The Swedish Defence University UHR Scholarship Value
The scholarship covers the tuition fee for both academic years of the Master’s programme. The scholarship recipients will be notified right after the Admission results in early April 2021.

The university will only review UHR scholarship applications amongst eligible and admitted candidates. If you have not received an email by April 30, please consider your scholarship application as unsuccessful.
The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)
The Swedish Institute, a government agency, receives funding each year to use for scholarships to international students who have the ambition to become a future leader within sustainable development on a global platform.
Application period
The application period for SISGP opens on 16 October 2021 for Autumn intake 2022. Please see the Swedish Institute’s website for more information about eligibility for the Swedish Institute scholarship programme.
