University of North Florida Latin America and Caribbean scholarship program USA 2022-23 is currently ongoing for both domestic and international students. The scholarship allows for Undergraduate, Graduate level program(s) in the field of All subjects taught at the University of North Florida.
Latin American-Caribbean (LAC) Scholarship, to qualify, UF students must be awarded a non-duty scholarship of a minimum of $500 per semester paid from either state funds appropriated to universities in the General Appropriations Act, investment earnings as provided under section 1011.43, Florida Statutes, or from federally authorized scholarship funds.

The University of North Florida will provide the winning applicants will receive in-state tuition rates as well as $500 each Fall and Spring semester.
Latin American-Caribbean (LAC) Scholarship Eligible Nationalities:
Citizens from the following countries are eligible for the LAC scholarship:
Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Caribbean Netherlands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, St. Barthelemy, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Maarten/St. Martin, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, Trinidad, and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama.
South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela.
North America: Mexico
Latin American/Caribbean (LAC) Scholarship requirements
- Be a citizen from one of the specified countries above.
- The award must be a minimum of $500.00 each semester, either state or federal funds or a combination of those and private awards (not personal funding). Check with your colleges/departments.
- The department or sponsoring agency provides the Award Letter and funds each semester. This decision is made by the organization making the award and may have specific qualifications – please check with them.
Latin American/Caribbean (LAC) Current On-Line Procedures
- Send Award Letter to Jan Hardin at jhardin@ufic.ufl.edu and she will email you the required UFIC LAC form to complete and send back to her.
- These will be sent to the Registrar for processing before the fee payment deadline of each semester.
NOTE: The Latin-American and Caribbean Scholarships at University of North Florida application form MUST include an e-mail address. This address will be used for all communication with the applicant.
