To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Be domiciled in one of the eligible countries (listed below)
- Be classed as an ‘overseas’ student for tuition fee purposes
- Hold an offer to begin a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Nottingham in September 2021, in any subject area

Commonwealth of Independent States Undergraduate Excellence Award Scholarship criteria
The Commonwealth of Independent States Undergraduate Excellence Award Scholarships will be awarded after assessing all scholarship applications. the university of Nottingham will contact you in early June 2021 to confirm the outcome of your application.
Scholarships will only be awarded to students who firmly accept their degree courses within UCAS. You do not need to respond to your UCAS offers before applying for this scholarship.
This Commonwealth of Independent States Undergraduate Excellence Award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham regional scholarship or an International Sporting Excellence Award.
However, you may also be able to receive a subject scholarship from your academic school, a sports scholarship package, or an external scholarship from your country, where the combined total does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
How to Apply for the University of Nottingham Commonwealth of Independent States Undergraduate Scholarship
You must apply for an undergraduate degree course at the University of Nottingham and receive an offer of study before you can apply for this scholarship. Search for courses and find out how to apply through UCAS.
Once you have received your offer, you can apply for this scholarship through the scholarships section of MyNottingham. Applications will close at midnight (UK time) on Thursday 22 April 2021.
You will need to answer a series of questions about your achievements, study plans, and reasons for choosing to study at the University of Nottingham. Allow yourself time to prepare strong answers, as the scholarships will be offered to applicants based on academic merit and the strength of your application statements.
