The Tuition Fee Research Scholarship will provide academic course fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), subject to good academic performance for:
- About four research periods for a successful master’s by research recipient (no possible extension)
- About 12 research periods for a Ph.D. recipient with a possible two-research period extension.
Eligibility to Apply for University of Sydney Tuition Fee Research Scholarship 2023-2024
To be qualified for the Tuition Fee Research Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an international student who has not consumed more than one research period at the time of the award.
- Be currently enrolled in a postgraduate research degree at the University of Sydney.
- Having been awarded a stipend scholarship of $20,000 or above per annum for the duration of the course through a competitive process will be automatically considered for this scholarship.
- Discuss stipend scholarship with supervisor to be considered.
- Provide evidence to substantiate their eligibility upon request.

Engineering HDR students who can provide proof of their stipend allowance being paid by a third-party sponsor or university-funded will be assessed for this Tuition Fee Research Scholarship.
