We are glad to inform you that the new local University West Scholarships for International Students in Sweden is now available for all new international students applying for a master’s degree programme for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Every year the University West offers a limited number of scholarships to fee-paying master’s students. The scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence.
The University West scholarship covers 25 percent of the tuition fee. The recipients of these scholarships will have their tuition fee waived by 25% for the whole programme length, provided that the study results during the first semester and/ or the first year are satisfactory.

- Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master degree programme.
- International business, the master programme in business administration (one year)
- International politics, the master programme in political science (one year)
- IT and Management, master programme in informatics (one year)
- Master in robotics and automation (two-year programme)
- Advanced manufacturing engineering (two-year programme)
- Master programme in robotics (one year)
- Master programme in manufacturing engineering (one year)
- Master of Science in finance
- Study Subject: 25% tuition fee deduction scholarships at the following programmes:
- Awards: The University West scholarship covers 25 percent of the tuition fee.
- Nationality: International students
- Number of Scholarships: Limited
- Scholarship can be taken in Sweden
University West Master Scholarships for International Students Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who pay tuition fees
- Admitted to an on-campus master’s programme at University West
- Motivation letter submitted with programme application
- The application fee and supporting documents received before the deadline
- The scholarship is only available for on-campus programmes. The scholarship is not available for distance learning programmes.
Awarding Procedure
The scholarship committee is overall responsible for the principles of the scholarships and decides every year on how to distribute the funds available, the structure of the scholarships, and which students will be awarded.

The departments/faculties rank applicants based on the criteria listed below and present their choices to the scholarship committee. The committee makes the final decision.
- Study results from previous education
- Applicant’s motivation for being part of the programme
- Applicant’s priority of the programme in the national application round
- Relevant projects, internships, international exposure, and work experience
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
University West Scholarships for International Students Application Procedure
Information about the procedure for the academic year 2022/2023 will be announced shortly.
Students applying for a master’s programme starting autumn 2022 can apply for a University West scholarship from 1 November 2021 to 1 February 2022.
You can apply for a scholarship by filling out the online application form and uploading your CV.
Scholarship applicants will be notified about the scholarship committee’s decision on 23 April 2022 at the latest.
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
